They would rather total a car then fix it

Was hit by a woman that ran a light. Progressive's estimate was $9000 to repair damages, car is worth $8,600, owe $8,200, after deducting the deductible and other fees, they want to give my bank $7,000. Leaving me not only in the hole with the bank, but with out a car.

I did research, parts on their estimate were way over priced, a few parts over $200 more expensive. I also had other body shops look at the car, got estimates for $6,000. Progressive still refuses to repair my car, they insist on totaling my car and screwing my family & I over. IF you have them get some one else, they are horrible. Not to mention that I have been insulted by a supervisor and called a lier. They are creeps!
