Denied for MRI and solution for private insuranceI recently suffered a serious knee injury in ski accident. Doctor requested approval for an MRI to determine if I needed surgery, and was denied. I have Cigna through my employer. According to employer's contact at Cigna, the MRI should have been approved, but didn't issue an approval himself. I am constantly continued... |

Cigna senied servies at the customers expenseMy aunt was also sent for a MRI of the foot which denied for no authorization.Apparently talking to a dozen different customer service reps and supervisors, authorization for mri's is through a company called NIA which denied it was not medically necessary. This was a follow up visit to the MRI she had continued... |
