TURNING the clocks back this weekend will spark a rise in car insurance claims. Figures from Norwich Union reveal the combination of Hallowe'en, Bonfire Night and clocks going back cause a massive increase in insurance claims. The switch to GreenwichMean Time on Sunday will mean come Monday commuters will find themselves hitting the roads in the dark. "Motorists need to adapt their behaviour to driving in the dark," said Simon Warsop, head of statistics at Norwich Union. "Some 15 per cent of driversadmit struggling to adapt to the new conditions."
