Saying Goodbye

I've had my auto with USAA for years, and we've been willing to pay higher premiums than we could have gotten with another company because we've NEVER had problems on the rare occasions we've made claims. However, after 9 years of never making a claim on our homeowner's policy, USAA cancelled us because they are "pulling out of California." In our quest for a new company (we've chosen State Farm), we discovered that we were paying DOUBLE the premiums for the same homeowner's coverage, and we were grossly underinsured on our auto policies (our life circumstances have changed and we need more coverage for protection). I was sad to say goodbye to USAA, but having them cancel our homeowner's policy may just be the best favor they ever did us.
