CNA Insurance Gives a False Sense of Security

When I found myself incapable of working due to an unexpected disability, I felt pretty confident that I would be okay financially. I had CNA Insurance long-term disability coverage and I figured I was pretty much set in terms of coverage. I figured wrong. While it’s true that CNA Insurance covered me for about three months, on a short-term basis, later on down the road the company started giving me all sorts of hassles. I heard excuses from a number of reps, how many I can’t even begin to count, but my payments had stopped for reasons that seemed to change according to the hour of the day. I have been told that they didn’t receive the proper documentation and that I was no longer eligible for benefits because my disability should have been a short-term disability. I guess once the company decides your no longer deserving they can just stop paying you!
